Weeks ago, much to my surprise, Maggie decided she wanted to be a lion for Halloween instead of something princess-related. I planned to make her costume myself, and gave her several opportunities to change her mind, but she stuck to her guns.
Maggie picked the dragon costume for Lily. There is a common thread, believe it or not: Maggie told me a while back, "Lions and tigers and dinosaurs and dragons belong togedder, because they are rahr-ing animals." Same genus, I guess.
We took the girls trick-or-treating in the neighborhood tonight with Grandma and Papa S. Lily was wide-eyed.
And Maggie did great with her "Trick-or-treats" and "Thank yous." It was determined that the evening was over when, at the final house, Maggie tried to subcontract her trick-or-treating out to her grandfather, telling him, "You go do it, Papa."
